What a night this could be for the UFC.
Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez will go toe-to-toe tonight in UFC 21 in a much-anticipated match-up.
From the moment he stepped into the ring, Lesnar was largely considered a "publicity stunt" by the UFC, and a bad one at that. Fans wanted to see him get beaten half to death by fighters that were much more talented, not to mention physical, than the former pro wrestler.
That sentiment seems to have gone away, and there's been more respect for him than ever before. People see his work ethic, they see how he handles himself in and out of the ring, and they've come to like what they've seen.
Save for one moment in Lesnar's UFC career, when he flipped off fans, he's been a guy that most enjoy watching.
Tonight, Lesnar will step into the ring with a guy he's never faced before, and one that may give him a whole new set of challenges. Whether Lesnar is up for those challenges is yet to be seen. But we'll get our answer later tonight.
