World Series Schedule: Texas Rangers Await Winner of NLCS
The Texas Rangers will have to sit and wait until next Wednesday to play their next game, but you probably won't hear many complaints.
Their resounding win against the New York Yankees Friday night that delivered the first-ever World Series appearance for the Rangers is probably still resonating in Arlington.
The Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants will square off tonight in Game 6 of the NLDS, with the Giants holding a 3-2 edge.
Roy Oswalt will take the mound for the Phillies, while Jonathan Sanchez will go for the Giants.
Oswalt pitched an inning in a Game 4 loss Thursday night, but should be ready tonight.
The National League will have home-field advantage this year as a result of winning the All-Star game.
Games 1 and 2 will be in Philadelphia next Wednesday and Thursday nights, with Games 3, 4, and 5 (if necessary) in Texas Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, respectively.
Games 6 and 7, if necessary, will be back in Philly Wednesday Nov. 3 and Thursday, Nov. 4.
