Open Mic: Chinese Gymnasts Had Unfair Homefield Advantage

Kody BrannonCorrespondent IAugust 16, 2016

Okay, so I have been stewing about this since the women's gymnastics came to an end. Now, after some stewing, I feel that the U.S. got screwed! China, the big bad communist power has altered the games.

They have under-aged girls competing and they are twisting the results in their favor. I have the feeling that this is nothing more than a big scam.

Everybody talks about the "New" China. Well, it looks like the same old tactics to me, just in their own backyard. Nastia Liukin should have at least two more gold medals, but thanks to this sham we call the Olympics, the best gymnast didn't win.

I have not usually been a big fan of the Olympics, but this year I decided to give it another shot. Once again, I feel that I was right in my initial thoughts. It's not the best athletes that win gold medals—it's the country who cheats the most.

There is a lot of work to be done in the gymnastics scoring system. And until I see change, I won't watch another Olympic gymnastics meet as long as I live.
