Summer Olympics, Open Mic

Maybe Usain Bolt's first name should be "Insane," because he is insanely fast...isn't he?

In the Beijing Olympic games Bolt has already bolted to two world records, with an Olympic record and world record in the 100 and 200 meter races.

Michael Phelps has eight gold medals in the 2008 games (14 gold in total throughout his career), making him the winningest athlete in the course of one summer Olympics since Mark Spitz won seven golds.

That's all great, but was it all clean?

Can one person really win eight gold medals in one Olympics? Can someone break two world records and beat his opponents as badly as Bolt did without having that advantage?

I don't think so.

Maybe the games aren't as clean as people think. Maybe the IOC doesn't do as good a job as some people think.

My reason for believing this is that there is so much stuff that the IOC won't comment on, like the smog, yet they will comment on stuff like the singer at the opening ceremony lip-synching.

If you went to the IOC, and tried interview them about the steroid use, they wouldn't answer because they care about the steroids as much as they care about the pretty lip-syncher.

We already know that performing enhancing drugs have been used in the Beijing games as Norway, along with three other horses, have tested positive. So that brings me to believe that maybe Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps are using steroids.

I mean, doesn't it seem to you that it's a little weird that Phelps has already won eight gold medals in this year's Olympics? That Usain Bolt is that fast?

Maybe it's just me, but this year's Olympics seem a little off in terms of competition.
