BAL 11, BOS 6: Buchholz dumped by Orioles

Evan Brunell@evanbrunellFeatured ColumnistAugust 20, 2008

Clay Buchholz has had it rough lately, so rough, he could not get out of the third inning in tonight’s ball game losing to the Baltimore Orioles 11-6.

Buchholz lasted 2 1/3’s innings, three hits, five runs (all earned), three walks, and no strikeouts.  The loss no puts Buchholz’ record at 2-9 on the season.

Goat of the Game:  Tough one

You have to feel for Clay right now but he is the goat here.  He just isn’t as sharp as he usually is.

Next Game: Regroup

The offense is continuing to put up runs, but it is tough when a team gets performances from their starter like tonight.
