The preseason was a little unrealistic because so many games ended in a tie. The Colts and the Titans both went undefeated and made the AFC South seem like it was the best division in the conference.
The season started and we eventually crowned a winner after all of this was done.

The 2009 season showed that the Cowboys were still the best in the NFC and the Patriots were still the best in the AFC. The Panthers surprised everyone with a 10-6 record even with Johnathan Stewart being out for the season.
The Rams won the West over the defending West champs Seattle Seahawks. Another surprise team was the Ravens winning the AFC North over Cincinnati.
Now here came the 2009 Wildcard Playoffs leading up to Super Bowl XLIII. In the AFC the Patriots and Jaguars both got the byes. The Chargers faced the Colts and the Titans went against the Ravens.
In the NFC Carolina and Dallas got the byes while the defending super bowl champions faced the NFC West champs, St. Louis and the Minnesota Vikings took on the Eagles.
Results…
Chargers 31, Colts 10
Titans 23, Ravens 9
Rams 30, Giants 17
Vikings 34, Eagles 16
Moving into the divisional playoffs the Patriots had a rematch with the Chargers and the Jags faced the Titans. In the NFC, Carolina faced the Rams who beat the Giants. The Vikings faced Dallas as Tavaris Jackson looked to keep it rolling.
Results…
Patriots 37, Chargers 17
Jaguars 38, Titans 19
Panthers 29, Rams 28
Cowboys 27, Vikings 17
The Conference Title games were going down next as the Patriots faced the Jaguars, like last year, only though it’s the AFC Title game and not the Divisional playoffs. In the NFC the Dallas Cowboys hoped not to get screwed again out of the Super Bowl by facing Carolina.
Results…
Patriots 28, Jaguars 21
Cowboys 34, Panthers 10
Super Bowl 43 was most predicted to be last year’s Super Bowl, the New England Patriots against the Dallas Cowboys. The problem was that Randy Moss was not with the Patriots because he was out for the season and Dallas had a great offensive line.
Results Super Bowl XLIII…
New England Patriots 20, Dallas Cowboys 7
MVP: Tom Brady 25-37, 317 Yards, TD
