TSN reported that Stefan Legein has quit hockey. The Blue Jackets have confirmed that their 2007 second-round draft choice has decided to retire.
Legein spent the last four seasons playing for the OHL's Mississauga/Niagara Ice Dogs. Legein Accumulated 160 points in 202 games along with 361 PIM. Legein played for Canada at the 2007 Canada-Russia Super Series, scoring three goals in helping Canada win the series. He also helped Canada win gold at the Under-20 tournament in January.
His reasons have not been reported yet. He is a great player and it's a shame we won't be able to see his talent in the NHL.
