Hard-throwing right-hander Tim Lincecum helped propel San Francisco to a game 1 NLCS victory over Philadelphia, as the Giants starting pitcher struck out eight Phillies in a 4-3 victory.

The win for Lincecum came in a duel against Phillies ace Roy Halladay on Saturday night at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park.

Lincecum has now won seven of his past eight starts, according to wire reports, as the 26-year-old finished the 2010 regular season with a 16-10 record and a 3.43 ERA.
