NFL Week 6: Zack Follett Injured for Detroit Lions
Second year Detroit Lions linebacker Zack Follett has been taken off the field after an apparent head or neck injury after some questionable contact with Giants receiver Steve Smith.
No word has been given on Follett's status as he was carted off the field strapped to a stretcher.
Even though his head and neck have been immobilized by trainers, this is standard procedure with any head or neck injury, so this is no immediate cause for concern.
Whatever the case may be, please keep Follett in your thoughts while the banged up Lions attempt to close the four point gap on the New York Giants.
Update: Follett has been transported to a local hospital, and while there is still no official word on the severity of his injury, he is conscious and has some feeling-both good signs.
