WWE: Is the PG Era Really That Bad? Why They Are Still Doing Well With It.

I have been thinking about this for a while now. I have read article after article about how much this PG era sucks and I have to admit I hate it and even wrote an article about it too. Yet if you take the time to think about it, it really isn't that bad.

The first thing that struck me was Johnny Knoxville's guest appearance. He came out and started promoting Jackass 3-D. Now I don't know if any of you saw it, but there is no way that was anywhere near PG.

The other thing I have seen are the ruthless attacks. Now I know they in no way compare to the AE but they too are not PG. The attack of Daniel Bryan by Miz and Riley was really pretty surprising the way it was played out.

Another is thing is having Cena join the Nexus. Just the idea of turning the face of the WWE to the bad side is awesome to me but sad for the kids. Yes, it is clear now that Cena is doing it against his will and will go back to normal once either the GM reveals himself or the next PPV as I see Barrett winning the title then Cena taking it from him. I don't know if any of you actually saw the video about the kid that went ballistic because Cena lost the match. For your amusement I put the link for that below.

I am sure this is not the intention of it but if i were really PG I doubt they wanted to destroy the hopes of their main audience.

The matches are a key too. I have heard and read on different wrestling sites that Kane and Taker are going to be in a buried alive match. If anybody would have said this a few months ago. they would have been slapped in the face for thinking it. Now that it will happen it is proof they still want to keep it kind of hardcore. While there are no more Bra & Panties matches or hardcore or everything else we like to see it has not really bothered that many people.

I grew up in the AE and I know there will never be anything like it ever again. It was great when it lasted but it all has to end some time. The fact that there is no more blood or guys cutting themselves is really a good thing as they can have longer careers and be healthier.

So with a few outs in the WWE that used to make you scream, "YEAAAAAAAAAA!" the WWE really is not that bad as it is made out to be. Creative blows but the wrestlers make up for it and as long as Orton stops getting good wrestlers fired or sent to the midcards it will continue to be alright.
