NBA Rumors: Players Association To Contest New Technical Foul Rule?
Billy Hunter, the executive director for the player's union, issued a statement on Thursday October 14 reacting to the league's apparent crackdown on player complaints to officials.
“The new unilateral rule changes are an unnecessary and unwarranted overreaction on the league’s behalf,” Hunter said in a statement. “We have not seen any increase in the level of ‘complaining’ to the officials, and we believe that players as a whole have demonstrated appropriate behavior toward the officials."
Hunter's statement comes during a preseason which saw the Boston Celtics' Kevin Garnett, ejected from a game for laughing at an official.
