Brett Favre Scandal: Latest Updates on Jenn Sterger and NFL Probe

It seems the only thing we want to concentrate on these days, at least when it comes to Brett Favre, is what kind of pictures he took, what kind of text messages he sent, what kind of voicemails he left and who he sent these all to.
But I guess you could say he brought this all on himself. I don't know how a guy like Farve, or Tiger Woods for that matter, can do what they do and think that one of these women isn't going to turn you in.
But, guys like this don't think about it. They think with their "mini-me."
It's something that I hadn't thought about at the time but if you're a conspiracy theorist, you might have a little fun with this one.
This past Monday night, the Minnesota Vikings made a trade with the New England Patriots that brought wide receiver Randy Moss back to Minnesota. A team that Moss used to play for and a city he was run out of after his own share of problems.
Well, one can wonder if the Vikings wanted the news cycle to shift to the return of Randy Moss and away from the scandal surrounding Brett Favre. Especially because of Minnesota's opponent, the New York Jets.
Just when we thought these rumors will start to die off and that we've finally heard the end of the Brett Favre and Jenn Sterger saga.
Apparently not.
According this article, Jenn Sterger is apparently about to make the rounds on several talk shows to talk about the scandal and who knows what else. I guess she wasn't ready for her 15 minutes of fame to be up.
These aren't the only two athletes that have ever been caught in the middle of a scandal, and they're not the only ones who have ended up with egg on their face.
We all remember the rape allegations against Kobe Bryant, the infidelities of Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods, and now the allegations against Brett Favre.
Will athletes ever learn from guys like this that they won't get what they want without having someone come forward eventually? Do they not know, at least after everything that's happened with Tiger and Brett, that they can't avoid embarrassment, or being caught, forever?

Since we know people are going to talk about this, we may as well cover it as well. For those of you who don't know where Jenn Sterger came from, if you've ever seen a Florida State game and the camera guys focusing on the girls in the stands who where something that leaves very little to the imagination. Then you've probably seen her.
She's been photographed several times in the stands as one of the "cowgirls," and has also taken very racy photographs for other outlets over the past few years.
She's no stranger to the camera and no stranger to the spotlight. Gee, I wonder why.
With everything that's gone on with Brett Favre, the pictures we've seen, and the voicemails we've heard him leave for Jenn Sterger, you'd think he'd be the only one in hot water right? Wrong.
A few days ago, an article came out from the Business Insider Report claiming Deadspin paid Sterger "more than they ever have" to get her to send them the pictures and voicemails from Brett Favre.
There's a reason Sterger hasn't taken this to court because her credibility is all but shot.
For those of you who want to make similarities out of Brett Favre and Tiger Woods, it's a HUGE stretch. You can make the joke that Tiger actually landed the women he went after and didn't have to beg.
Ok, jokes aside, Tiger went on a women spree for who knows how long and slept with just about every one of them he ever talked to. Some he went multiple rounds with.
All Brett is guilty of is sending picture messages and leaving creepy voicemails. Not that it's any better than what Tiger did, but let's stop with drawing similarities.
A life-long Jets fan, by the name of Jay Mohr, weighed in on the Brett Favre scandal on the Don Imus show.
I won't give you all the details on it, I'll let Jay do the talking. He covers 'Hard Knocks' the HBO series on his team as well as several other topics.
If you want to listen where he gets into the "texting" subject where Brett Favre is concerned, go about two and a half minutes in and you'll get everything from there.
I'm surprised that a lot of people aren't asking this very question.
Since the allegations came out, I haven't heard much talk about what his life at home must be like. Did his wife already know about this? Did he come clean before the news broke? Is this going to end like Tiger Woods and Elin ended?
Does being married mean nothing to these guys anymore?
After Jenn Sterger came out with the allegations against Brett Favre, the NFL immediately began a probe of what exactly happened and lining up all the evidence they could find.
But here's where my problem comes in. We know the pictures, we know the voicemails, what else does the NFL need and what really can they do about it? Suspend him for one or two games?
Isn't that no more than a slap on the wrist? What's the investigation for if that's all they're going to do to him?
Everyone wants to give their opinion on what Brett Favre did. Everyone wants to talk about what he did, why he did it, who he did it to, why he shouldn't have done it, what he did to his wife, and much more.
But I never expected a guy like Dennis Rodman to weigh in on Brett Favre but I guess there's no better person than one who's done a whole lot more during his days in the NBA than Rodman.
At least Geraldo picked a guy who isn't a stranger to controversy.
With everything that's going on with Brett Favre, all the details we've heard, all the pictures we've seen, all the jokes we've heard, it couldn't get much worse right now for him. Could it?
Apparently someone got their own shot in and used the cover of "practice" to do it. Watch this carefully as this becomes very ironic very quickly.
Like we just talked about, you knew someone was going to get brand new material that was surrounded around Brett Favre and the stupid crap he decided to pull not once, but twice.
Bill Maher was one of those guys as he went an entire segment questioning Brett Favre on why he would do what he did. Even mentioning Favre photographing himself in crocs. Just doesn't sound appealing does it?
When you have an incident that involves one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL, this isn't going to get a lack of attention.
There are going to be jokes, there are going to be parodies, there are going to be comedians writing their newest jokes about Favre's "member."
This is just a latest in those parodies but it's funny none the less.
Jenn Sterger has agreed to cooperate with the NFL during this investigation.
She finally broke her silence a few days ago, through her attorney, saying she wanted the "right result" not a fast one but refused further comment from there.
She is currently working for the Versus network on a show called "The Daily Line."
Let's go back to where this stupidity started.
Allegations are made from New York Jets' sideline reporter, Jenn Sterger, that Brett Favre had sent her text messages of "himself" and also left what turned out to be quite creepy voicemails while he was the quarterback of the Jets.
Then, other allegations surfaced that he did the same with two massage therapists that also worked for the Jets. He invited them both up to his hotel room for what was called a "two-part happy ending massage."
Upon learning that one of the females was married, he apparently apologized. When the husband of one of this therapist confronted Favre, he apparently refused to apologize. Shocking.
