Raw Cruiserweight Evan Bourne Not Expected Back Until 2011

Cec Van GaliniAnalyst IIIOctober 15, 2010

News coming out of Connecticut tonight suggests that Evan Bourne, high flying Cruiserweight is facing surgery on a shoulder injury. Some estimations are that he will be out for as much as four months after undergoing the surgery on Tuesday.

His attack by CM Punk this past week was to allow him to disappear from the screens, while also continuing the heel run of the Second City Saint. Raw is seemingly not changing the status of its acquisition, as was the case with Smackdown and a now face, Edge.

Bourne's career in the WWE has fluctuated but with the absence of a Cruiserweight division, his chances of real gold are as slim, as his physique. Despite his massive popularity, Bourne continues to job for many superstars although he did enjoy tag team success recently with John Cena. The push was short lived though.

With Wrestlemania 27 on the horizon, Bourne will certainly be targeting a return by Feburary or March of next year so as to be ready for the premier event in Atlanta, Ga.
