Week 5 of the NFL season is in the books, and while others may power rank the teams on the playing field, I'm not going to do that.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy a good football game as much as anybody, but I'd take an NFL cheerleader over a left tackle any day.

So don't expect to see any analysis of the Deion Branch trade and its effect on the Patriots. There is another place and time for that.

But if you appreciate the female form in all its glory, you've hit the jackpot.

It's time to gawk at some cheerleaders! Here's a look at the sideline hotties from Week 5.

10. Buffalo Bills

Buffalo1_display_image

Alright, I understand that the job title of a cheerleader is obviously to cheer, but what can a Bills cheerleader possibly be excited about?

This picture really makes me wonder if they have any idea that their team is 0-5.

I think I've solved the mystery of why the Bills cheerleaders are still so happy.

Their backs are facing the game, so maybe they really don't have any clue what's going on behind them.

9. San Francisco 49ers

49ers1_display_image

San Francisco head coach Mike Singletary can't seem to get along with quarterback Alex Smith.

I know his team is winless, but I think he'd have a much easier time getting along with these lovely 49ers cheerleaders.

49ers Continued

There are two reasons why the 49ers cheerleading squad helped San Francisco to the only top-10 ranking they'll see all season.

Hint: I'm not talking about her pom-poms.

8. Indianapolis Colts

Colts1_display_image

Peyton Manning and Indianapolis didn't get to celebrate a win in Week 4, so the Colts cheerleaders looked extra-excited in Week 5.

I'm not sure why the cheerleader all the way to the left is the only one looking this way though. I doubt that's what she is supposed to be doing.

This may be completely coincidental, but the three cheerleaders here are standing in size order from biggest to smallest.

They look pretty good doing it too, although I don't see much cheering going on.

7. New York Jets

Jets3_display_image

If it wasn't for the headline, would you have any idea what team these young ladies cheered for? Better yet, would it matter?

The only thing I'm worried about is deciding who looks better: the blonde or the brunette.

Jets Continued

Any wide receiver or quarterback involved in Monday night's Jets-Vikings game probably wasn't a big fan of the rainy weather.

That is not the case for me. Thank you, Mother Nature.

Jets Continued

Ines Sainz, Jenn Sterger, and the "Flight Crew."

The Jets sure do like to surround themselves with beautiful women, don't they?

6. Houston Texans

Texans3_display_image

I was told the scoreboard wasn't working at Reliant Stadium on Sunday, which is why the Texans cheerleaders look like they just won the Super Bowl.

Seriously though, I think I'm a Texans fan now.

Would you or would you not?

Get your mind out of the gutter, fellas. I meant would you go to the Texans game if all the cheerleaders looked like that?

Just in case you answered "no" to the question on the last slide, I provided you with one last opportunity to change your mind.

And if I fail again, that just means your standards are too high.

5. Washington Redskins

Redskins3_display_image

I applaud the ability of the Redskins cheerleading squad to work as a unit on this high kick routine.

Maybe they can teach Washington's secondary to do the same in pass coverage.

Redskins Continued

I'm telling you guys, Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett should take notes.

Look how good these girls work together. And just how good they look.

I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment's gone.

Please don't let this moment end.

4. Baltimore Ravens

I'm confused. I thought that it would be cold in Baltimore during an October game.

Oh well. With pictures like these, it can stay warm all year.

Ravens Continued

Quickly answer this question (without looking back at the last slide): what's the difference between this Ravens picture and the last one?

If you answered that she's only looking a little more to her left, you are correct.

3. Cincinnati Bengals

That camera guy might have one of the greatest jobs in league history.

He could be earning minimum wage, and it would still be worth it to film cheerleaders like that.

Bengals Continued

In the words of Janice on Friends, Oh. My. God.

I know her Bengals lost in Week 5, so I'm ready and willing to help her get through this difficult time.

2. Dallas Cowboys

Dallas2_display_image

Dallas is winless at home this season, but I think we can agree that we're all winners here.

Just keep this beautiful young woman away from Tony Romo. You wouldn't want him to get distracted.

Cowboys Continued

Dallas1_display_image

I'll tell you right now that I absolutely despise the Cowboys, but I'm not going to let that stand in the way of my journalistic integrity.

I couldn't possibly put her any lower on this list.

Cowboys Continued

Year after year, the Cowboys generally have one of the—if not the—hottest cheerleading squads in the league.

This picture is proof positive that the trend will continue.

1. Carolina Panthers

Carolina2_display_image

Dear Panthers fans, I am extremely sorry that your team is awful, but rest assured your cheerleaders are not.

It's not so much because of this picture as it is because of this next one...

Panthers Continued

Carolina_display_image

Reasons why the Panthers aren't good:

1. They have no wide receivers without a healthy Steve Smith.

2. They are distracted by whoever this girl is.

She is almost too hot. I'm damn near speechless.
