Line: Florida State -22
In this ACC matchup, the Florida State Seminoles are looking to go for their fifth straight win of the season against Boston College. The team’s huge win over a Miami squad that was ranked 13th, has the Seminoles 3-0 in their conference games. On the other side of the field, Boston College is undergoing a three game losing streak. Their last loss came to North Carolina State, the Eagles were crushed 44-17. The team’s only wins came against Kent State and Weber State this season.
Keys to the Game:
- Florida State’s Christian Ponder has continued his productive play as the quarterback this season. Ponder went 12 for 21 for 173 yards, two touchdowns and interception in his last game against Miami. The senior has thrown for 1,017 yards and ten touchdowns this season.
- Dave Shinskie has been disappointing in his last two games. The sophomore quarterback has thrown for five touchdowns and six interceptions this season. The team also struggles to find a running game, as they only average 89.8 rushing yards a game this season.
- The Seminoles’ running game has shown definitive depth this season. Chris Thompson broke out for 158 yards and a touchdown last game. While the junior back, Jermaine Thomas ran for 78 yards and two touchdowns on the same night.
Florida State has looked terrific this season, especially on defense. Look for them to push around this Boston College team. The Eagles have failed to make something out of their season, with embarrassing losses against Virginia Tech (19-0) and Notre Dame (31-13), but the team should be able to keep this within three touchdowns
