I'm writing this piece to let Dave's friends back home in Port Elizabeth, South Africa know about a side of him, I'm sure only a few will know about.
I've known Dave for a number of years now and to see him join the Bleacher Report a month or so ago was great.
Bleacher Report is a website for fan journalists. Our Mr Owen had recently taken up writing on this site and I wanted to share his work with all his friends.

Dave and I were never best mate's but we were good friends and he has left me with many memories. Be it watching his beloved Liverpool, him abusing me across the bar at Old Grey or him playing poker in my dining room, he always entertained.
A great guy and a friend to thousand's. Dave, you'll be sadly missed.
