A few of my iamdomo.com readers suggested that the reason why I am so hard on Ohio State University is because I am a devout Oregon alumni. Not so. While I am 100% Duck, I see through some of their hype. I took a look at the teams they have played. I noted that their opponents were 13-17 combined. I noted that not only do their opponents have losing records but none of them have beat ranked teams. Their biggest success was Miami who is sitting at 3-2.

Aside from my personal opinion, the numbers CLEARLY suggest that the PAC-10 is a tougher conference and Oregon is a tougher team!

Considering that Oregon has had a stronger schedule than OSU, lets compare some numbers.

Passing yards: Oregon ranks #36, OSU ranks #37 (Better is better)

Rushing Yards: Oregon ranked #4, OSU ranked #20

Points Scored: Oregon #1, OSU #6

Oregon allows an average of 20 points. OSU allows 6. That seems like a huge difference until you consider who OSU has played and the types of powerful offenses in the Pac-10.
