Jermichael Finley Injury: Packets TE Injures Knee; Carted Off The Field
Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley has suffered a knee injury during today's game against the Washington Redskins.
Finley was hurt during the second offensive play of the game while trying to make a tackle after Redskins safety Kareem Moore recovered a fumble. Following, Finley was carted off the field by the medical staff.
The Packers currently list him as questionable, and I'm sure further reports will be released soon.
Finley headed into this season with tremendous hype and hasn't disappointed as he had 301 receivng yards which leads all NFC tight ends. His unique combination of athleticism and pure football skill has helped him transform into a versatile weapon and one of Aaron Rodger's favorite targets.
I'm sure he's hoping that the injury isn't too serious and Finley can return to the field as soon as possible.
Making matters even worse, though, Donald Lee will not return to the game after injuring his shoulder in the first quarter.
This is just the latest episode of the Packers being bitten by the injury bug. Note, Ryan Grant was placed on injured reserve after enduring a right ankle injury that will require surgery to heal.
