The Philadelphia Eagles have announced that they have released defensive end Antwan Barnes and signed wide receiver Chad Hall from their practice squad. Hall will replace rookie Riley Cooper as the team's fourth receiver.

Cooper obtained a concussion last week in a loss to the Redskins. “I’ll travel Chad out there. I haven’t made any moves, but I will travel Chad with us,” Reid said before the Eagles announced the move.

Sheil Kapadia reports that Barnes played on 44% of the Eagles defensive snaps in week one, and Les Bowen expects the Eagles to re-sign Barnes.

“Mentally I’ve been studying the game plan, just knowing every position, because we’ve only got maybe three [wide receivers] right now,” Hall said. “I’m just preparing like I do every week though, in case something happens during practice or anything like that. So it’s the same thing I’ve done every week, but now I’m just going on the trip and we’ll see what happens.”
