Redskins Dump Devin Thomas

Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk is reporting that the Washington Redskins have released wide receiver Devin Thomas. Rich Campbell of the Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star is reporting that the Redskins will sign running back Keiland Williams from their practice squad to their active roster.
Thomas has served as the Redskins kick returner in 2010, but that role will likely be taken up by either Chad Simpson, Brandon Banks, or Keiland Williams. The Redskins have been trying to upload Thomas before he was released.
Thomas cannot be re-signed to the Redskins' practice squad, so if he clears waivers, he becomes a free agent. Thomas caught 40 passes for 445 yards and three touchdowns in three seasons.
