Just Manny being a winner!

Not to glorify arguably the wackiest player of our era, but what can you say about what Manny has done in Dodger Blue.

Since joining the Dodgers, Manny Ramirez has brought life to an otherwise hapless offense, and possibly saved Ned Colletti's job.

I had my misconceptions about the deal that sent Andy LaRoche to the Pirates and brought Manny to Chavez Ravine.  Being a Manny fan though, I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

Boy has it been great so far.

Since joining the club he is batting .437 with 3 doubles, 5 home runs, 16 RBI's, and one episode where they couldn't find him between innings and he emerged from the tunnel buckling his pants.  Hey that's Manny though.  That's also in only 13 games people!

The club is also only 7-6 in those 13 games.  Which may not mean anything in the NL West.  Although they do need to stop giving up runs in the early innings, you can see signs that they just won't allow themselves to die.  With the way they have comeback to win multiple games this past week and last night you just kinda have a feeling they could put a run together.

Now I am not sure if there are long term aspirations of keeping him a Dodger.  I don't know if in the long run he can keep up this pace.  Who can?  Wouldn't we like to find out though?

By the way, he went 2-4 last night with a homer and three RBI's in a win against the Brewers.
