Blacked Out Bills

Paul RaymondCorrespondent IOctober 7, 2010

This Sunday’s Buffalo Bills game has been blacked out for the first time since 2006, breaking a 26 game sellout streak. Is anyone actually surprised by this? The team is 0-4 and playing the Jacksonville Jaguars (another team that isn’t that good). Would you want to go watch that?

According to the ESPN report about 12,000 non-premium seats are still unsold, so I’d say a lot of people don’t want to go watch that game. What’s makes it even worse is that the Bills have the second-cheapest average ticket price in the NFL.

That tells me that it doesn’t matter how cheap your ticket is, no one wants to go watch a shitty football game. And that my friends is what the Bills / Jaguars looks like it might be.

Sadly, this may not be a one time thing in Buffalo this year. They’ve also got home contests against the Detroit Lions and the Cleveland Browns. I’d say both of those games will be at serious risk for blackout.
