John Maine: Should Be On Mets Get Rid Of List

Keith BennettCorrespondent IOctober 8, 2010

John Maine would go down in Mets history as a big habitual lier. John Maine lie to the Mets organization and coaching staff about his own health. Manual and pitching coach Dan Warthen said they were concerned about Maine during his bullpen session. And after he threw pitches, none over 85 mph, he was replaced later by Raul Valdes. The Mets said he was taken out for " precautionary reasons." "If he's throwing that way, then there's got to be something incorrect in that arm," Warthen said. "Something's not feeling correct. John's a habitual lier in a lot of ways as far as his own health.  Make you wonder how many years have John Maine been lying. He is not for the team first. John Maine underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder, maybe ending his career with the Mets. Maine should go like Oliver Perez, Beltran, Castillo, K-Rod, and Sean Green. Dump all the dead weight on the Mets roster.
