2010 NFL Fantasy Football: 10 Sleepers Sure To Come Through in Week 5
The 2010 NFL season has seen many new players making a name for themselves as well as some legends proving that they still belong and that means one thing: Fantasy football sleeper alert!
This week in the NFL is full of competitive matchups that will urge players, who haven't made much noise this season, to step up and make big plays.
The following "sleepers" are 10 NFL players who you can expect to make a major impact in Week 5.
WR Mohamed Massaquoi, Cleveland Browns

Week 5 Opponent—Atlanta Falcons
In the need of a win, the Cleveland Browns will be playing with a bit of desperation. Expect Jake Delhomme to target this dangerous receiver against a defense that has had a ton of success this season.
Massaquoi has struggled the first four weeks this season, only making four catches for 60 yards and a touchdown. He is a talented young pure-athlete out of Georgia who is due to have a breakout game.
RB Ryan Torain, Washington Redskins
Week 5 Opponent—Green Bay Packers
With Clinton Portis being out for the next 4-6 weeks, Torain is marked to start at running back for the Washington Redskins in the upcoming weeks.
Last week, against the Philadelphia Eagles, Torain rushed 18 times for 70 yards and one touchdown. With the lack of depth in the Redskins backfield, Torain is likely to see a lot of action in the next few weeks.
Be sure to add Torain into your lineup.
WR Brandon LaFell, Carolina Panthers

Week 5 Opponent—Chicago Bears
The 6'2'' 211-pound WR is a rookie out of LSU who could start this week for the Carolina Panthers.
So far this season, LaFell has only caught four passes for 67 yards. With the possible start this week, he could see the ball numerous times.
Brandon LaFell is a receiver to look out for, constantly progressing as the season continues.
TE Visanthe Shiancoe, Minnesota Vikings

Week 5 Opponent—New York Jets
Visanthe Shiancoe will be a key player agaInst a very tough and talented New York Jets team in Week 5. With the new acquisition of Randy Moss, Shiancoe will get more open looks because of the concentration on Moss.
Since it's known that the Jets will be blitzing a ton, Favre will be forced to throw the short pass to a tight end or running back, giving Shiancoe plenty of opportunities to impress.
Be sure to add this player to your roster and put him in your rotation because he will have a big week.
WR Steve Johnson, Buffalo Bills
Week 5 Opponent—Jacksonville Jaguars
Off to a dissappointing 0-4 start, the Bills are looking to get their first win in Week 5 at home against the Jaguars.
Wideout Steven Johnson has been showing some hope for the Bills scoring a touchdown in each of the last two games.
Johnson is barley owned by any fantasy teams, one percent on yahoo, but will be sure to be a hot topic after his 100-yard, multiple touchdown game against the Jaguars.
RB Michael Bush, Oakland Raiders

Week 5 Opponent—San Diego Chargers
Darren McFadden and Michael Bennett did not practice Wednesday which means Michael Bush will definitley see some carries.
If McFadden doesn't play, then Bush will receive a majority of the carries. If he does play, Bush will still see some touches because McFadden isn't 100 percent.
Michael Bush saw increased carries in the close 31-24 loss to Houston, rushing the football seven times for 40 yards and a touchdown. Expect the bulky back to build off of last week's performance.
WR Harry Douglas, Atlanta Falcons

Week 5 Opponent—Cleveland Browns
Coming off of his first touchdown of the season, Harry Douglas is a great wide receiver to add to your roster.
With the injury of Michael Jenkins, Douglas has been seeing an increased role in this offense, becoming more of an effective target for Matt Ryan every game.
Harry Douglas and Matt Ryan will continue to gain chemistry, making this duo a threat to be recognized. Going up against a weak Lions team this week, expect Ryan and Douglas to hook up on numerous occasions.
TE Brandon Pettigrew, Detroit Lions

Week 5 Opponent—St. Louis Rams
This beast of a tight end will continually be added to fantasy rosters all over as the season progresses.
Brandon Pettigrew is an active part of this offense, who has caught 22 passes for 249 yards so far this season.
At 6'5'' and 265 pounds, he is a big target who is hard to take down. This week Pettigrew and the Lions go up against the St. Louis Rams who are 21st overall in passing defense, giving up 230.8 YPG. Should be a big week from this big man, expect his first touchdown of the year.
WR Louis Murphy, Oakland Raiders

Week 5 Opponent—San Diego Chargers
Louis Murphy is a rising young superstar at the wide receiver position that had a rough game last week, but will bounce back in Week 5 against the Chargers.
Murphy struggled in week four because he was still fighting a injury to his clavicle. After the poor performance, you can be sure that Louis Murphy will bring his 'A' game this weekend against the Chargers.
WR Mardy Gilyard, St. Louis Rams
Week 5 Opponent—Detroit Lions
As the season has been progressing, Gilyard has seen more and more plays each game.
This Sunday will be Gilyard's breakthrough game, facing an 0-4 Lions team that is ranked 26th overall in passing defense, giving up an average of 241.0 YPG.
This rookie will look to make a name for himself in Week 5 with the increase in playing time that he's been earning.
