WWE: What Was The Point Of The Cena/Batrrett Match At Hell In The Cell?

Now, maybe it's just my need to think logically, that's a definite possibility, but as far as I can tell, the whole purpose of John Cena joining the Nexus, was to put John Cena in a group that he simply did not want to be a part of, and to take orders from a man who he simply did not want to take orders from. Classic story! And it could have gone a million different ways. Anything from Cena joins Nexus officially, to Cena takes over Nexus. WWE could have ran this storyline a billion different ways and NOT mess up! This story pretty much writes itself.

And yet, the WWE has found a way to jack up another story, and a popular stable.

And don’t hand me that BS about how the Nexus isn’t popular, look at the people who like what the Nexus has done, it’s the best thing to happen to RAW in sometime.

WWE looks to be disbanding the Nexus slowly. First, having tension between Barrett and the rest of the Nexus crew, followed by removing Michael Tarver (which, behind the scenes, was due to injury) as a member, and it makes me wonder what’s NeXT? The whole reason for John Cena to join Nexus is because he hates them, but at this rate, there won’t be a “them” to hate. Pretty soon, Nexus is gonna consist of Barrett and Cena and that’s pretty much the end of the story of Cena joining Nexus. A golden for Cena to show is heel status or even rebuild Nexus in his image is wasted.

Or so it would seem.

I will give WWE this, lately, they have been coming with some surprising stuff. So maybe this is an angle I haven’t thought of. But if the Nexus is just going to slowly disband, there was no reason the Cena/Barrett match.

Here’s hoping Husky Harris and Michael Mcgillicutty join up to fill in the holes.
