Justin Timberlake's annual celebrity golf tournament is a couple of weeks away, but it got me thinking about some of the top celebrity golfers.
I've seen a few other Bleacher Report slideshows focusing on the subject, and usually they focus on who's best handicap-wise.
I'm going to go a different route and rank (in my personal opinion obviously) the top 10 celebrity golfers based on their entertainment value on the course.
I'm not sure how entertaining Mr. G is on the course. His music, while good, has been known to put some people to sleep.
I gave him the "honorable mention" nod because he's arguably the best celebrity golfer out there in terms of ability. He has a 0 handicap.
If he wanted to, I'm sure he could give the guys on the Champions Tour a run for their money.
Speaking of guys who could give the Champions Tour a run for their money, Mr. Cowboy has tried on a couple of occasions to qualify for the U.S. Open.
It hasn't happened yet, but once his time as a QB/Lady Killer is done, he may very well try his hand on the PGA Tour.
I'm not sure how much time "Dirty Harry" has to play, but when he's not starring or directing in potential Oscar winners, I'll bet he can "make our day" on the course.
I would suggest using one club at a time though.
Michael Douglas and his lovely wife Catherine Zeta-Jones are among the more prominent celebrities that play golf for charity.
I look forward to seeing him back on the course once he recovers from his recent health issues.
This may be the most unlikely combination, but Alice Cooper is one of the best celebrity golfers out there.
I wish just once that he'd play in the getup he wears when he's on stage.
If you thought the Masters got good ratings before, just think of what it would be like if he was there in his concert attire.
If there's a celebrity golf tournament, chances are the former soap star is in the field.
While there are plenty of good reasons to have him on this list, the best reason might be for getting his girlfriend involved in the game of golf.
That looks like a good enough reason to me.
Thank you Jack. Thank you.
Sometimes I want to be angry at Mr. Timberlake for all his fame, money, and hot chicks, especially knowing that I'm a few weeks older than him and realize that it could be me out there.
Then I realize all of the money he raises is for charity, and that I can't sing, dance, or play golf well.
An avid golfer for quite some time, MJ actually traveled to Wales to root on the Americans in the Ryder Cup.
Even though we came up a little short, you have to admire Jordan's passion for his country and the game.
Plus, this may be the coolest golf look I've ever seen.
This guy is entertaining wherever he is, no matter what he's doing.
It's amazing to me "Sir Charles" doesn't have his own reality show.
Despite having quite possibly the weirdest swing you'll ever see, Barkley knows how to play.
Was there really any doubt as to who No. 1 was?
Even though he plays it up for the audience, Bill Murray plays the game pretty well.
As far as the hat goes, Mr. Murray, you're on your own in explaining it.
That's all. Thanks for reading.
