TOR 4, BOS 1: Halladay goes the distance

Evan Brunell@evanbrunellFeatured ColumnistAugust 17, 2008

Roy Halladay was simply Roy Halladay pitching a complete game - 8th of the season -  against the Boston Red Sox in a 4-1 victory.

He walked one and struck out four in the game with the only run coming in the game on a solo-blast from Dustin Pedroia (11, 57).

Goat of the Game: Tough one here

Just one of those nights where you face on of the World’s Best pitchers.

Go get em tomorrow.

Byrd’s Debut:  Ok

Maybe as he said Byrd had his dominant stuff the day before.  Pitching line - 7 1/3, 10 hits, four runs (all earned), no walks, and no strikeouts but two homers.

Next Game: Beckett

Just get the Sox back on track against Marcum and the Jays.
