NFL Trade Rumors: Champ Bailey Continues Talks with Denver Broncos
According to the Denver Post, the Broncos have resumed contract negotiations with cornerback Champ Bailey after a great performance against the Indianapolis Colts.
The Broncos are said to be looking to extend Bailey's contract for four years which would keep Bailey with Denver until 2014.
DP says that cornerbacks are one of the highest-paid positions in the NFL, so money could be a definite issue in these contract talks. Bailey is the third highest-paid cornerback in the league (behind Darrelle Revis and Nnamdi Asomugha) at $13 million this year, and we can expect him to be asking for more with this extension.
