Fantasy Football's Week Five Waiver Wire

Week Four displayed, once again, how well my waiver wire pickups produced. The best recommended pickup was WR Brandon Lloyd who had 11 receptions for 115 yards.

As mentioned in last week’s article, RB Ryan Torain would see more action and carries. He finished with a game-high 18 carries for 70 yards and one touchdown.

Week Four saw another week filled with injuries and Fantasy owners may be scrambling to find replacements. Fantasy owners need not be alarmed, as I have new players that are going to be valuable additions to your team.


Kevin Kolb, Philadelphia Eagles

In a news conference on Monday, Coach Andy Reid did not seem very confident that starting QB Michael Vick would be able to start in Week Five. Kolb replaced an injured Vick and had a mediocre day. He finished with 201 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception in getting back to the fantasy scene.

The Philadelphia Eagles will travel to San Francisco and face the winless 49ers, who rank 22nd against the pass and are tied for last in passing touchdowns allowed with eight.
