It's Day 2 of Ryder Cup and despite being up 6-4 after two rounds of play, things don't look good for Team USA.
Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker were the best performers for the Americans in the second round but will have a tough time coming back against the duo of Luke Donald and Lee Westwood who are 4 up through 9 in the third session.
And the rest of Team USA will also need to come from behind. The other five matches have Europe in the lead.
By the end of the third session of play, Team Europe is projected to have a 10-6 lead.
Let's get caught up. Here are the results and scores from Day 2:

Youngster Rickie Fowler had a chance to keep the game squared up after 1 but missed a 5 foot putt for par.
In the second hole all four players reached the green in 3 and Team Europe's Ian Poulter holed a tricky 10 foot putt for a birdie. Mickelson just missed his chance for the birdie with a downhill put that nearly went in.
After two, Europe was up 2 and they went on to split the next two holes before play was called due to darkness.
Losing the first two holes was a poor way to start the match for Team USA.

The tandem of Stewart Cink and Matt Kuchar started fast by going 1 up after a Kuchar birdie.
But Francesco Molinari squared it up after the second hole with his own birdie and subsequently birdied again in the third hole to go 1 up on Team USA.
The Molinari brothers looked on their way to extending their lead 2 up on Team USA after Francesco made birdie but Cink was able to match him with a 3-foot-putt to keep their lead at 1 up.
Francesco was the star of the early part of the session with three birdies.

Team Europe's pair of Ian Poulter and Luke Donald, defeated the USA team of Bubba Watson and Jeff Overton during an up-and-down battle 2 & 1 in the second round of play.
After 6 holes in the third session, the two Americans will have to bounce back and regain the momentum they got after winning the opening round.
The two rookies opened the third round going down 1 but came back to make a recovery after 2. However, Team Europe went on to go up 1 in the next hole and 2 up after 6, before play ended for the day.

Jim Furyk who was paired with young Rickie Fowler halved their first match of the second session against Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer. His new third session partner, Dustin Johnson played with Phil Mickelson and lost 3&2 to Harrington/Fisher.
With Furyk and Mickelson switching places, this new duo of Furyk and Johnson are looking to get more points for Team USA.
However, Team Europe took a 1 up lead after 3 and were 2 up after 5. The Americans were able to trim their lead back to 1 after the seventh hole.
There's still more 10 holes left to play and Furyk and Johnson feel that there's plenty of time to recover.

McDowell and McIlroy received some motivational from team captain Colin Montgomerie after losing a close match by 1 against Stewart Cink and Matt Kuchar earlier in the day
Montgomerie told reporters that the pair needed to show more passion. By the results of their early lead against Zach Johnson and Hunter Mahan, they look to be playing with more inspiration.
They responded by going up in the first hole of the session and increased their lead in back-to-back holes 6 and 7, before play ended for the day.

After winning against Miguel Angel Jimenez and Peter Hanson 4&3 in the second session, the pairing of Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker could lose for the first time as partners at the end of this third session.
Perhaps it's been Saturday's poor muddy conditions at Celtic Manor that has resulted in their poor play.
Lee Westwood and Luke Donald got off to a great start in the round when they birdied the first two holes.
They led by us much as 5—the biggest deficit so far in the matches—on Team USA.
