IconKiffin announced that rookie standout JaMarcus Russell will see an increased amount of playing time this week against the Colts. Is this his chance to show us what he has, or will it just be another sixteen plays?

In an absolute meaningless matchup for the Oakland Raiders, we would expect him to play out the remainder of the season.

This game is at home, granted, that was the last time we saw a glimpse of him.  That is also the reason why he didn't play in Green Bay with a perfect opportunity, but instead we saw Andrew Walter waltz onto the field. With rarely any production coming from any of the other QBs, we should have seen Russell a lot sooner.

This game against the Colts will be a disaster if they do not let Russell start and finish. He needs to use the last three games as practice for next season. What else do we need to see from McCown, Culpepper, or Walter for that matter? Let's let the Rookie out of the cage and let him shred the defense through the air.

The whole Raiders team has been waiting all year to follow behind him—they all want to play by his side. They know he is the future, and so do we. Let's not delay it any longer.
