September 2010 may go down as the month that IU basketball finally recovered from all of the Kelvin Sampson drama.  The recent announcement of Trey Lyles and James Blackmon, Jr's intention to attend Indiana University may be what the Hoosier Nation needed to get back into full support mode after a couple of extremely rocky seasons.

The two boys are rated in the top 5 of the 2014 class.  Yes, the 2014 class!

Trey Lyles is a 6'9" beast on the block that has silky smooth moves.  His coach is already touting him as the number 1 pick in the 2015 NBA Lottery.

James Blackmon, Jr. is a 6'2" combo guard that is the son of James Blackmon, Sr (current head basketball coach at Bishop Luers).  Blackmon, Sr was an All-American at Kentucky.

Both of these young men have a great deal of development in the next few years ahead of them, but at least coach Tom Crean is getting into the family room of the elite level players in Indiana.  The fact that he has come in and made an impact that quickly with these kids should make all feel comfortable knowing that he is doing it right with all of the elite players that are coming out of Indiana in the next two seasons.

Now, Hoosier nation will wait on some important decisions that could put Indiana basketball back into the Top 5 nationally year in and year out.

Zeller, Chandler, Davis, Harris, Smith-Rivera, and Hammons...Hoosier Nation is eagerly awaiting your decisions.
