Boston Bruins season preview 2010

Bad from last year:
Boston was only 5-14 in one goal games that ended in regulation. The Boston Bruins were also next to last in terms of power play goals last year. In the 2008-2009 the Bruins had a 59 more power plays than penalty kills, while last year they had 7 more penalty kills than power plays.
Good from last year:
Despite getting few power plays Boston did have one of the best road records in the NHL last year. Boston was also able to win games in the shoot out on the road. Also, when on the road if they scored first they were 15-1-2. That’s only one game out of 18 that didn’t turn into points when scoring first. The other good thing for Boston was not allowing third period goals. Only one team gave up fewer third period goals than Boston.
Best Free Agent move:
Nathan Mclver should add some depth at the defensive position.
Where they should be this year:
I see Boston going to the conference finals this year. They didn’t lose anyone significant this year. So, who’s to say that they won’t return to the conference finals?
