Two Illinois players are in trouble, yet the focus is on head coach Ron Zook and how he will handle the situation.

Fans of Indiana may quite possibly flock to Memorial Stadium this weekend to see the Hoosiers attempt to take down Michigan. Indiana nearly defeated the Wolverines last season in Ann Arbor.

Who is No. 1 in the nation in total defense? Iowa is, but the only real competition they played against was Arizona, a game they lost.

He may just be talking about his team, but Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez said that “this may be the best the Big Ten has been in a long, long time.”

Mark Dantonio will be back for Michigan State this weekend in the Spartans’ opener with Wisconsin. His location will imitate that of Joe Paterno.

The word on the street is that if Minnesota head coach Tim Brewster is fired, then former Golden Gopher quarterback Tony Dungy will be the first man contacted for the job.

Here is what Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald said about Minnesota: “[They are] one of the best-coached teams in the country.”
