Fantasy Football's IDP Waiver Wire Week Four

NFL Bye weeks are beginning, which means it’s the season for spot starters.

My preferred IDP strategy is to carry as few defensive players as necessary so I can load up on offensive talent.

Hopefully, you just need a body or two to field a starting lineup. Here are a few ideas on how to get through those lean times.

Charles Godfrey, Panthers – I’ve expressed my doubts about Godfrey before, but after two huge games out of three, he now can be counted among the top five DBs in most of my leagues. Burdened with one of the most putrid offenses in the league, Godfrey is going to be spending a lot of time on the field, increasing his opportunities.

He did put up a one-tackle stinker in Week Two against the Buccaneers, but otherwise has 14 solos and three interceptions. It will become harder and harder to sit that kind of production on your bench as the season wears on. Don’t worry about his minor hand injury last week, Godfrey will be fine...
