Nets minority owner recently met with Anthony's adviser, William "Worldwide Wes" Wesley, in an effort to plot the Brooklyn native's arrival coming home. His success ultimately hinges on the deal's remaining holdup; the Nuggents, who continued yesterday to stall and , perhaps, jeopardize this big blockbuster trade with their indecisiveness. Wesley is considered the most powerful man in basketball by many, with the ear of megastars like Lebron James, close relationships with all the top entertainers (including Jay-Z, minority owner of the Nets) and too much charisma and smarts to measure. But Wes has always done his work in the dark, behind closed doors or in the shadows of after-hours. Wesley who is a full-fledged CAA agent, sat down with minority owner Jay-Z in a effort to bring Melo home. And Melo wife LaLa is good friends with Beyonce cousin. These close connections could seal the deal for New Jersey.
