Kyle Singler and Duke Look to be #1 Once again
Imagine this, a team wins a national title, returns most of its core players from a season ago, and adds some stars to the mix, of what should be an even better squad than the year before! That is what the Duke Blue Devils are facing this season.
The 2010-11 edition of the Duke Men's Basketball team is star studded and loaded with talent. The backcourt is most likely the deepest in the nation with high school All-American recruit Kyrie Irving manning the point, Nolan Smith who handled the point a year ago and shared duties with the graduated and talented Jon Scheyer, should bring the ball upcourt as well, but will see a lot of action playing off the ball this season as Irving looks to create.
Some of the sharpshooters on this year's team are Liberty transfer, Seth Curry, and Andre Dawkins, will provide much needed depth at the shooting guard position.
The Plumlee brothers, both Miles and Mason are back manning the paint for the Blue Devils and should provide some much needed size and rebounding for this team. Joining them in the frontcourt is last season's Final Four Most Outstanding Player, Kyle Singler, gearing up for his senior campaign, and Washington, D.C. star recruit Josh Hairston out of Montrose Christian High.
Yes, this looks to be an exciting season for Blue Devils basketball, and Coach K is back and ready to motivate his men, there is no slowing down this train!
