The Missouri Tigers Are Undefeated at 4-0 Heading into Big 12 Conference Play

Shane PattonCorrespondent ISeptember 27, 2010

The Missouri Tigers remain undefeated at 4-0 going into their "bye" week. After a close victory against San Diego State last week, The Tigers blew out Miami of Ohio (2-2) 51-13 at just the right time over the weekend, the Tigers needed a big win before heading into Big 12 conference play next week.

With numerous issues on defense, Mizzou needed a good outing as they now have only one week to fix what is obviously a broken defensive unit before taking on Colorado at home on October 9th.

Star defensive end Aldon Smith was out with an injury, but safety Jasper Simmons, linebacker Luke Lambert and wide receiver Jerrell Jackson could have played if needed. They were not needed as Missouri was simply too much for Miami of Ohio and easily ran away with the victory.
