Sebastian Janikowski was a Raider first round draft pick—17th overall—in 2000 out of Florida State University.

He is considered one of the best field goal kickers of the modern era. In 2009 with the Raiders, Janikowski missed only three field goals as he went 26—for-29, one of which was 66-yards out. Most kickers wouldn't even attempt one of that distance, yet Janikowski almost made it.

Later in 2009, Janikowski kicked the second longest field goal in history, a 61-yarder in Cleveland against the Browns.

Coming into 2010, it seemed like it was going to be a great year for Sea-bass. In Week 1 against the Titans, Janikowski went 2-for-3 on FG's. He originally missed his first attempt, but because of a Titan penalty, Janikowski got the chance to re-kick as he converted on the attempt.

Then came the Rams in Week 2. Janikowski went 3-for-4, which isn't too bad, however Raiders fan expect more out of Janikowski.

In Week 3, the Raiders played the Cardinals in the Cards' home opener. Janikowski went 3-for-6, missing what would have been the game winner in the last four seconds to give the Raiders their first 2-1 start since 2004.

If the Raiders want to win their division, then they need Janikowski to fix whatever is wrong with his leg. He has missed five field goals, his most since 2008, in just three games.

I really hope the he fixes his problem, or the Raiders are in for another long season. I have seen some of Raider Nation already demanding a trade of Janikowski.

Give the man a break. It was one bad game. He might snap out of it and who knows, maybe next week he could go 6-for-6 and win it in Oakland when we play Houston.
