August 13, 2008-Los Angeles   Tonight, 45,786 fans flocked to Dodger Stadium to see “Manny being Manny” but instead they witnessed “Nomar being Nomar”. Garciapara, who was 0 for 4 going into his bottom of the ninth at bat, had a rough comeback after returning from the DL yesterday. Yesterday Nomar was 0 for 3. But tonight, Nomar hit the 6th walk off homerun of his career and won the game for his Boys in Blue. Nomar’s hit not only beat the Phillies 7-6 but also tied the Dodgers for first place in the NL west division with the Diamondbacks. Both teams have a record of 61 and 59. Ironically enough it also bumped the Phils down from first place into a 3 way tie for the NL east division.
