Why the Knicks sign someone with a trouble past. Williams was given many chances to play NBA ball. He seem like like jail much better. Eddy Curry and Wilson Chandler are two Knicks who in the same boat like Williams. This guy was the 17th pick by the Pacers in the 2006 draft, has seen his career go madly off the tracks bacause of some very dumb decisions-- twice busted for pot possession and cited in July for driving with a suspended licence -- and found himself booted from the league. The charges in July, which also alleged that he was in the possession of marijuana and a loaded gun, were dismissed. If Williams start playing here in  New York, he will be with Plaxico Burress in Rikers Island. The Knicks should look at the recent troubles with Braylon Edwards. New York is turning into N.Y. Hoodlums on every team in the city. The Mets have K-Rod beating and texting his family. Shawne Williams has great athleticism and size(7-3 wingspan). Williams could a good back-up to Anthony Randolph at the center position. New York night life is not for everyone and Shawne Williams is one.
