With the aftershock of the Brett Favre era coming to an end in Green Bay, there is one subject on everyone's mind.  Can the Minnesota Vikings cash in on a phenomenal off season and produce its first NFC North title since 2001?

During the off season the Vikings traded for Jared Allen, who was the defensive end with the Kansas City Chiefs and produced stellar numbers last season.  This will help for the loss of Kenechi Iodize on the other side of the d-line.  With the addition of Allen, the Vikings now have a star-studded defense.

The Vikings also added two more perennial players to help their 2008 campaign for the NFC North title and the biggest prize of them all, the Lombardi Trophy.  Among the two players added was Safety Maddieu Williams who has produced steady numbers in his few seasons with the NFL.  The other player added was Wide Receiver, Bernard Berrian.

Bernard Berrian is no doubt one of the biggest deep threats in the NFL.  But one question looms on the minds of all Viking faithful.  Will Tavaris Jackson produce?  Tavaris Jackson is going into his third year as a quarterback for the Vikings.  He showed some promise during the last few games of the season last year.  His job should be easier this year with sophomore phenom Adrian Peterson who stunned the NFL last year with his enticing 1,341 yard, 12 Touchdown performance last year, which is usually unheard of by a rookie.

No doubt that the Vikings will have a long road ahead of them this year, but they have the team to pull it off.
