Brett Favre said his right arm felt fatigued, but not sore during a morning practice with the New York Jets Wednesday.
"I didn't throw the ball that well this morning, underthrew some throws," Favre said. "No pain, but I'm 38 years old. It's going to be fatigued a little bit."
Favre practiced with Oak Grove High School is Hattiesburg, Miss. to keep in shape, but apparently the high school didn't expect as much from Favre as the Jets do.
Favre ended the morning practice with a 53-yard touchdown on a fourth down play to Brad Smith, but the three-time MVP wasn't satisfied.
"We missed on a couple of big plays today," he said. "We can’t afford to do that during the season, so I hope we’re getting those out of our system now. But those were my fault—I overthrew one and underthrew another one. But I think a week from now that’s where we’ll be much better."
Favre's arm better be ready for Saturday, when the Jets meet the Redskins in Favre's Jets debut. Will Favre play like the Jets want him to play, or will he turn out to be a washed up quarterback? Stay tuned.
