Sixers/Iguodala - No Deal Yet

Despite reports to the contrary, the Sixers and Andre Iguodala have NOT agreed on a new 6 year $80 million contract. ESPN reported the deal was done last night, but the Sixers have denied such a deal exists.

Personally this deal seems way too high considering AI's performance in last years playoffs. Couple that with deals recently given to Emeka Okafur and Luol Deng that were more in the 6 year $70 million range and I just don't see the Sixers giving him this high of an offer.

Iguodala is a great talent and is definitely needed back on this team, but he's not going to be your number one option. Or at least he shouldn't be. And his pay needs to reflect that. He will make an excellent second or third option behind recently signed Elton Brand.

I'll submit a full entry upon the actual signing and what it means to the Sixers future.
