Trent Green: Do the Rams Really Want Him?

Bleacher ReportAnalyst IAugust 13, 2008

Trent Green was the starter for the St. Louis Rams until he was injured. His backup, Kurt Warner, took over for him and the Greatest Show on Turf was born.

Now, two teams and two concussions later, Green is playing for the Rams again, but this time as a backup to Marc Bulger.

After suffering a concussion in the Chiefs' 2006 season opener against the Bengals, Green was never the same. At the end of that season, he was traded to Miami. The veteran quarterback once again suffered a concussion, and was picked up by the Rams.

Green’s career is basically over at this point, but if Bulger goes down I think that St. Louis fans should be concerned. Green is a proven quarterback, but he has been a different quarterback since the concussion against Cincinnati.

If I were a Rams fan, I would be praying that Bulger stays healthy or that the Rams find a new backup quarterback soon.
