This off season has been silent for the Cleveland Cavaliers. They were looking to get Vince Carter from the Nets on draft night for Wally Szcerbiak, but the Nets rejected.

With LeBron Jame's looking to leave Cleveland in 2010 for the Big Apple or even overseas, the Cavs need to look to keep LeBron happy. Just yesterday a rumor has it that the Cavs are pursuing Milwaukee Bucks point guard Maurice Williams.

There is a three way trade with Oklahoma City "Thunder" being in the mix. The situation would be the Cavs sending Joe Smith to the Bucks, OKC sending Luke Ridnour to the Bucks, and the Cavs get Williams.

There are other situations where a sign and trade occurs with Delonte West to send him for Williams or the Cavs receiving Chris Wilcox from OKC.

Overall this makes no sense for the Cavs or really any of these teams, which is why I do not see it happening.

For the Cavs, Williams is a really solid player who can be the 20 point scorer the Cavs need, but why not just sign West? West was an enforcer since he came to Cleveland in the playoffs and is a better defender than Williams.

For the Bucks, Luke Ridnour? He has been disappointing and Williams has been productive for them. Ramon Sessions I think can be a legit back up for Williams to give them a tandem at point.

OKC is just looking for expiring contracts to rebuild with their young core.

If the Cavs want to keep LeBron hanging around they should look into re-signing West and give the team a full off season to be together. With West, Wally, LeBron, Ben Wallace, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas this team really is not bad. They took the Celts to a game 7 last year in the playoffs.
