A GLADIATOR FOR HIS KING

Matt Hughes ponders the glory of his creator Christ the King,

As he steps into the octagon, another fight to bring.

He has professed to be a warrior of the man nailed to the cross,

Who died to save us from our sins when all our lives are lost.

Not as easy now as it was when at first he won the belt,

For now he has detractors where once no ill will dwelled.

But no matter how this ends for him after he steps in the ring,

He will bow his head as a salute to "his idol" Christ the King!
