Micah Owings Traded to Reds

Joel KochSenior Analyst IAugust 12, 2008

As the entire baseball world knew yesterday, Adam Dunn was sent packing to the desert. The Arizona Diamondbacks added Dunn via waiver trade yesterday, sending RHP Dallas Buck to the Cincinnati Reds.

Also involved in the deal was the infamous Player to be Named Later, and his identical twin.

What we know today, is that the identical twin is not related to the Player to be Named Later after all. Micah Owings is one of the PTBNL.

According to Nick Piecoro, of the Arizona Republic, Owings will be traded during the off-season. Why? He's going to miss a Class AAA start due to stiffness (injury), and that he probably won't/hasn't clear(ed) waivers.

No word yet on the other player, but it more than likely won't be a big name due to Owings being added to the deal.

Here is the storyby Piecoro.
