Michael Vick: Should Chiefs Consider Making a Play For Vick?

The Kansas City Chiefs are sitting at first place in the AFC West at 2-0, so all is well in KC right? Not so fast, Matt Cassel is not living up to his lofty contract. Cassel struggled in his first two games, and to his credit had a decent 2nd half against Cleveland. The next few games will be Cassel's chance to prove he was worth all the money his New England buddy and KC GM Poili signed him too. Croyle is a legit back up and has looked well at times, but is also injury prone. Does KC have a dilemma on their hands, not yet but could they yes! There is nothing negative about a 2-0 record, but a close game is a close game and Cassel's inconsistent play maybe start costing them games. Once he cost them games, then other options have to be explored. In Philli Vick has played amazing for the injured QB Kolb, and shown flashes of his old self, but reports out today suggest Vick is headed back to the bench. One can only think controversy is on the horizon in Philli, and its not crazy to think KC could benefit from it. Pioli may have to end up biting his pride on the QB situation, and move towards something new, and why not have that something new be a new and (rehabilitated) in more ways then one Michael Vick. The question is will Philli part with Vick, and what will it cost. If it comes down to 2nd or 3rd round draft picks its time to pull the trigger, but if it involves KCs young talent then Mr.Croyle step right up. Time will tell in KC and yes winning is nice, but there are still areas that need to be fixed before a championship caliber team can emerge.
