I'm back to writing on BR after a two=year hiatus. I temporarily quit writing sports to spend some time overseas and then wrote a book about it (search Off the Beaten Path, Nicholas Pardini on Amazon to find it) and built up my podcast about the financial markets.

My new focus is going to be on big picture stories and about how sports relates to economics, sociology, and propose solutions to fix some of the issues and controversies in sports with some innovative approaches.

My main subjects will be college football, basketball (NBA and NCAA), and baseball. My first column is a multipart series about reforming the college football season and the BCS and will be out shortly. I hope BR readers enjoy my future writing.
